I was born in Montclair, New Jersey in 1948, Went to school in Bloomfield, and later The George Junior republic in Freeville, New York, returning to Bloomfield to graduate in 1967.

I started working at The New York Times on September 9, 1967 and retired on May 1, 2003.

I have retired to Tobyhanna Pennsylvania with my wife Annette (picture below)
